i miss coronado. i miss my friends. i miss my old house where i could go to my room and have it be quiet. i miss walking everywhere. i miss being so buzy i didnt have time to go on the computer or watch tv. surprisingly i miss school. i miss familar places. i miss hearing the train from across the bay at 10 PM. i miss the perfect weather. i miss being so buzy with babysitting i didnt have to worry about getting a job. i miss being able to see mexico from the coronado bridge. i miss palm trees. i miss smelling the ocean. i miss everything from my life in california.

grrr today has been frustrating. actually just art. which is what i finished school with so it just puts a negative light on the rest of the day. we're working on our self portraits right now. mine wasnt looking too hot so i took it home and really focused on getting the proportions right, not worrying about value yet. i bring it to school today, and the lady that is helping us paint says i dont have enough contrast with the light and dark (duh i havent worked on that yet). plus she said that the right side of my face was looking like an alien (?) she told me to mix browns for the right side of my face, so i did what she said and it looks like crap. my skin is not brown. its more of a peachy color. ms. hill (my amazing art teacher) agreed with me. but i couldnt fix it right then b/c the paint hadnt dryed yet so it just was all coming off. better yet, the lady that told me to make it brown brought someone else to look at mine to show her how i went into detail too fast and how you shouldnt do that.

ive just realized that a lot of my postings have been very pessimistic (sp?) recently. sorry. im really not that pessimistic. the glass is half full. really.
